The oldest continuing operating
General Store in Vermont

History of The Store: In 2004 Juliette Britton returned to her hometown of Peru, Vermont to raise a family and saw an opportunity to serve the community by reopening the dormant general store in the center of town. Prior to a brief closure, J.J. Hapgood was the longest continuously-running general store in Vermont. Juliette and her family rebuilt the historic establishment and added a café, custom wood-fired oven, and outdoor patio.

We have other listings available that do not appear in our website at the Owners Request. Some owners only want their property exposed to Qualified Buyers. Filming for the show was in Hollywood but the Waybury was in every episode and gained some fame for the exterior image of the Vermont sitcom.
